Alpha Comm Enterprises Moves Some Of Its China Production To The U.S.
The company has opened a molding facility in Georgia.
Alpha Comm Enterprises (Lawrenceville, GA, US) has expanded its North American operations in Lawrenceville to include custom molding capabilities and services. Prior to the establishment of its molding plant in the U.S., the accessory program provider for the wireless communications industry manufactured primarily in Shenzhen, China.
Under its new business unit ACE Custom Molding, the company plans to manufacture cell phone cases and other components for the telecommunications industry. Alpha Comm’s initial machinery order included four new 135‐ton Zhafir Venus II all-electric machines with high‐speed injection and high pressure capabilities from Absolute Haitian. The custom molding operation will be led by Michael Heuwetter, senior director of manufacturing.
“Handsets are coming to market faster and product cycles are continually shrinking,” said Jad Daye, president of ACE Custom Molding. “Our goal was to bring just‐in‐time manufacturing to the U.S. In doing so, we are able to accelerate the delivery of quality products to our customers so they can respond to consumer demand and optimize company sales. We have plans underway for a complete assembly line and clean room capabilities.”
ACE Custom Molding is also pursuing partnership options with companies in the electronics, automotive, medical device and telecommunications industries.
