Biopolymer Database Adds Applications
An Application Database has been added to the Biopolymer Database available at Plastics Technology’s PLASPEC Global materials datacenter (plaspecglobal.com). The biopolymer database allows material searches by polymer, producer, mechanical or thermal properties, and by attributes such as biodegradability, compostability, food approval, and renewable-resource or recycled-resin content.
The application database can be searched by part, industry, material tradename, or polymer family. The biopolymer database is a joint project of M-Base Engineering + Software GmbH in Aachen, Germany (Plastics Technology’s partner in PLASPEC Global), and the Univ. of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Germany.
