(DAK did not acquire the Crystar trade name.) These resins, made with DuPont “2GT” technology, are custom-tailored for with special I.V. levels, additives, and/or copolymers.

These resins will be produced by DAK’s newly created Specialty Polymers Business Unit, with an initial capacity of 25 million lb/yr designated for these products. It will produce resins for specialty markets such as monofilament, nonwovens, CPET dual-ovenable packaging, very-high-I.V. rigid containers, and compounding of filled and reinforced engineering materials.
