Three-Axis Robot For Small Presses—February 2008

A new all-servo robot targeting small machines and small parts comes from Wittmann Inc., Torrington, Conn. Its W701 is the smallest model in the line and is suited to presses from 25 to 125 tons. It handles payloads up to 6.6 lb and has a fixed kick stroke intended to avoid collisions with machine hoppers and blenders on machines with short barrels. It also uses the R7 touchscreen controller. Linear bearings and rails extend uptime between lubrications. Optional A-axis provides a second pneumatic rotation to place parts. (860) 496-9603 • www.wittman-ct.com
