Optimize Plug Shape for Thermoforming
Software will adjust the shape to provide more uniform material thickness in the formed part
New version 4.7f of T-Sim thermoforming simulation software from Accuform in the Czech Republic helps optimize the geometry of a plug assist. The user enters an approximate plug shape, and the software will adjust the shape to provide more uniform material thickness in the formed part. T-Sim is available from Compuplast International of Mississauga, Ont., and Williamsville, N.Y.
