Custom injection and compression molder CTC Plastics, Dayton, Ohio, recently rolled out a line of pallets and will be supplying the resin compounds used to make them as well. Both pallets and pellets contain Micronized Rubber Powder (MRP) derived from used tires and supplied by Lehigh Technologies, Tucker, Ga, blended with PP.

Says John Dennis, CTC Plastics’ COO, “These pallets...are making a huge impact on companies’ carbon footprints and have also given us unbeatable cost and performance.” CTC is supplying Lehigh’s micronized rubber powder, called Xpro Rubber Batch, either as part of a molded product or pelletized. Lehigh Technologies is devoted to finding new uses for end-of-life tires.
