These "off-line" systems are used by companies who make frequent color or tooling changes, produce smaller volume parts, or when narrow (under 30" width) thermoformers are used. Finished rolls or stacks of cut sheet are also run by firms who extrude sheet to be used as sheeting, and by custom sheet producers.
A variety of fully automated winders are available, including jumbo roll, turret, and fixed shaft styles.
Sheet can also be cut-to-length by precision fully automated cut-off devices, in which case specialized hump conveyors, run off tables and stackers may be supplied.
