WEB EXCLUSIVE: On Oct. 1, Styrolution became a free-standing corporation, owned 50:50 by BASF in Germany and Ineos Holdings Ltd. In the U.K. Until then, it had been a part of the BASF Group and located in Wyandotte, Mich. Now, its global headquarters are in Frankfurt, Germany, and Styrolution America LLC is in Channahon, Ill., at the same location as Ineos Styrenics, which now focuses on EPS bead. BASF and Ineos have contributed their production facilities and businesses for solid PS, ABS, SBC, SAN, ASA, and other styrenic copolymers and blends (Luran S, NAS, Zylar, etc.).
