Wescon Plastics Adds New Business Development Manager

After recently completing a significant expansion and facilities upgrade,  Wescon Plastics, Wichita, Kan., continues to build on growth, enhance customer service capabilities and expand its customer base. To support its growth plans, Wescon is adding to its business development team. Mike Walsh will focus on developing new business opportunities and new accounts to support Wescon's aggressive business growth goals.  

“We have made several organizational alignment changes within our business development group, all focused on providing industry-leading support and program management for existing and future customers,” said Troy Scott, vice president of business development. “We are hyper focused on delivering best in class front–end sales support, program management, and after-sales support, all with the goal of building long-term partnerships with customers within our chosen markets.”

The hiring of Walsh is the first step in strengthening the company’s front-end support and increasing its business development efforts.  An experienced sales professional in the plastics industry, Walsh has been selling professionally since 1988. His expertise includes custom molding, compounds, resins, colors and additives. Walsh’s plastics industry experience includes work for Ohio-based PolyOne.

He will reside in Conway, SC and focus on developing new business in the southeastern states.
