An iWarriors Update: 83 iPads donated so far in 2013!

Kim Bartz, co-founder of iWarriors—a non-profit organization she and her husband Tim Bartz (also co-owner of Mold Craft Inc.) started in 2010 to raise money to buy iPads for wounded warriors—has been working hard this summer to continue to provide wounded veterans with the technology they need to not only stay in touch with family and friends during their lengthy hospital stays, but also to manage their recoveries.

Kim told me that she is presently working with six wounded warriors in hopes of getting an iPad into all of their hands.  “One of the guys is an Air Force Loadmaster who suffers from TBI (traumatic brain injury) and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder,” she said. “Once we get an iPad in his hands we will have supported all four branches of the Armed Forces, which is very exciting!”

She also said it has been a great year so far, and iWarriors has handed out 83 iPad gift packages. Please consider donating to this oh-so-worthy cause. Click here for details.
