Proper, uniform drying aids in the prevention of defects (see Drying Performance Issues) and assists in the molding or extrusion process.
 
Molding times and extrusion rates can be optimized and increased by:

• Drying uniformly to a consistently low moisture level
• Maintaining a constant temperature
• Keeping your drying system in good condition (See Dryer Maintenance)
• Using new technology dryers to avoid temperature or dew point spikes and other inconsistencies
