What is Sheet Extrusion?

Sheet extrusion is a technique that converts plastic pellets or powder via extrusion through a flat die into plastic sheets. These sheets can be accumulated into rolls, cut into specific lengths, or made directly into finished products via in-line thermoformers. The means of production is a sheet extrusion line.

Secondary Processes

Depending on the type of sheet being extruded and who it is being extruded by (a custom sheet producer, a packaging or disposable product supplier, an industrial sheet product manufacturer, etc), there are a variety of secondary processes that may be involved in the extrusion manufacturing system.
