PRAB is expanding its fluid filtration division into industrial wastewater treatment. The company has partnered with Veolia Water Solutions of Italy to market and support the exclusive EVALED line of evaporative technology in North America.
Recent studies highlight the demand for comprehensive water recycling, which is expected to rise over the coming years. The study sites rising disposal costs, more stringent EPA regulations and rising water costs as the expansion of oil and gas exploration drives growing demand for water, as key drivers of increased water recycling. “Industry understands the need to treat and recycle or reuse water. The heightened awareness stems from the need to be more self-contained when it comes to their operations. Water is no longer to be considered a disposal by-product of operations, but rather an integral component to production, and therefore needs to be monitored like any other raw material,” says Tim Hanna, managing director of PRAB Fluid Filtration – Wastewater Treatment Division.
The partnership with Veolia Water broadens the company’s line of wastewater treatment systems from vacuum filtration and ultra filtration to now include evaporation and distillation technology.
