Processors Align to Offer FFS Solutions
A maker of forming films for packaging and a maker of lidstock films join forces.
Two well-established processors are combining their manufacturing muscle to offer brand owners form-fill seal packaging solutions on a global basis for food, consumer, and medical/pharmaceutical markets. The marketing alliance was announced last month by Berry Plastics Group, Evansville, Ind., and Klöckner Pentaplast Group, Gordonsville, Va. Berry makes non-forming lidstock films, while Klöckner Pentaplast manufactures multiple types of forming films used to produce trays. Together, the two processors can engineer specific solutions to meet performance criteria like seal and peel, gas barrier, clarity, heat resistance, and recycled content.
