Ron Behee of Sinda Thermal Products will discuss thermal modeling issues for spacecraft, and how to set up thermal simulations in Patran.

Thermal Challenges in Spacecraft Design is the title of a 45-minute long MSC webinar to be presented October 2nd, 2013 at 8:30 AM Eastern or 1:30 PM Eastern, by Ron Behee, director for Sinda Thermal Products. Webinar host will be Srinivas Reddy, senior product marketing manager for Sinda Thermal Products. Behee has been involved in thermal modeling since 1973. In the late 1980's he began developing thermal modeling tools and started his own consulting company. In 1995 he bought Network Analysis Inc, the company that developed his favorite thermal analyzer SINDA/G, and he continued to develop thermal modeling tools and interfaces. MSC Software acquired his company in 2008.

The webinar will address spacecraft thermal simulations, and will discuss the enhanced link to Thermica in Patran, which allows the entire model to be set up within Patran, to take advantage of Thermica’s powerful mission planning module, including a link to Satellite Tool Kit (STK). Problems and solutions related to spacecraft thermal design will be discussed and demonstrated. Attendees will be able to watch a demonstration on how Sinda integrates into Patran to utilize its powerful pre- and postprocessing capabilities. A live Q&A will follow.
