Walgren Co., a manufacturer of turnkey anodizing and plating systems, has opened a new headquarters facility for the design and manufacture of metal finishing systems in Mexico. The new headquarters is in Queretaro, a major manufacturing hub in the geographic heart of the country.
According to Walgren Chairman Drew Johnston, the new headquarters will support sales and service, as well as manufacturing and process development activities for the company’s growing customer base in Mexico and, eventually, Central America. “We regard this new headquarters as an important part of our commitment to serve Mexico’s fast-growing aerospace and automotive sectors,” he says. “Walgren has a well-established presence in the region,” he adds, “and the new facility will heighten our ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.”
The Mexico location has a bilingual staff with decades of experience in metal finishing. It will be managed by Paul Fisher, a Mexico resident who is also the publisher of Finishing Talk.
The Mexico headquarters is the company’s third; other headquarters locations are Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dongguan, China.
