Monomer continues to drive Polypropylene Prices
Tightness in the polymer grade propylene monomer continues to drive the polypropylene market. Many planned and unplanned outages have depleted the supply of propylene as well as ethylene. Several producers have restarted units with more expected over the next few weeks lining out inventories of monomer as well as polymer. Heading into April and May keep resin purchases to a minimum as May is anticipated to be the peak of the current price cycle.
