3D Simulation Package Integrates with CAD/CAM

WEB EXCLUSIVE A new affordable, high-end injection molding 3D simulation software package has been fully integrated with surface and solid modeling tools, a mold-design package, comprehensive 2- to 5-axis machining with high-speed routines, and 2- and 4-axis EDM. To be introduced this month at NPE 2009 by Vero USA Inc., Wixom, Mich., new Visi Flow 17 simulation software is integrated with its Visi Mold CAD program and Visi Machining CAM package. Model preparation and analysis time is said to be reduced to minutes with the new Visi Flow mesh wizard, a new thickness sphere algorithm, and feature recognition for runners and cooling channels.
