Riverdale Global, Perth Amboy, N.J., is a new company established by Riverdale Color Co., also of Perth Amboy, to provide U.S. and overseas plastics processors with local supply of liquid colors. The company is setting up a network of satellite operations in the U.S. and abroad to make readily available its technologies for producing and metering liquid colors.
There are already two such operations in the U.S. (Perth Amboy and Statesville, N.C.) and two more in England and Russia. The company plans to open more satellites equipped with proprietary systems for color blending and matching.
Each satellite facility will supply and maintain a full range of metering equipment from Maguire Products, Aston, Pa., which co-owns Riverdale. These include Maguire’s Pump-in-a-Drum (PIAD) system, which keeps liquid color sealed off from the workplace before, during, and after its use by the customer.
Also offered will be Maguire’s new gravimetric metering device for the PIAD system and Riverdale’s Single Pigment Dispersion (SPD) system. In addition, processors will be able to return empty drums to the local satellite operations, minimizing environmental concerns.
