A new equipment line has been developed to provide an alternative to pressurized froth processing for PUR cavity-fill applications and injection of rigid foam into parts such as insulated shipping containers, coolers, preformed structural panels, entry and garage doors, picture frames, cabinets, refrigerator panels, and insulated pipes. Available from Graco Ohio, Inc. (Gusmer-Decker-GlasCraft), North Canton, Ohio, the Reactor IPH series of proportioners is designed to spray or pour low to mid-range outputs of foam. This equipment uses closed-loop control of three-temperature zones to ensure consistent isocyanate and polyol temperatures. The series comprises two hydraulic proportioning models with output capacities of 25 and 50 lb/min at 2000 psi pressure. A new hydraulic pump is said to eliminate pressure fluctuation during piston changeover and to deliver consistent spray pressure. Field experience shows that Reactor IPH pump seals have an average life 10 times longer than standard systems. (800) 367-4767 • www.graco.com
