New “Access” hopper loaders from Conair, Pittsburgh, have an angled canister that is easier to clean and also makes it easier to install on blender bins where multiple loaders must fit in a confined space. The canister can be angled in various directions—toward the front or back of the processing machine or along the machine axis. That allows hose connections to be made from different directions. Also new is a hinge that holds the canister lid captive so that one person can open it with one hand. When used in conjunction with a Conair Handy Hopper, the entire loader can be tilted away from the machine hopper while another hinge and support slide keeps it safely restrained.

The new loaders come in two self-contained motor-loader sizes (0.25 and 0.5 cu ft) and three central-vacuum sizes (0.25, 0.5, and 1 cu ft). They are made of stainless steel and nonferrous materials “at carbon-steel prices,” Conair says.
