A new silver-based antimicrobial additive designed for use with injection moldable liquid silicone rubber comes from Milliken Chemical, Spartanburg, S.C. SelectSilver SR12 is a completely inorganic additive with high thermal stability (over 1100 F), low moisture content (<0.05%), and small particle size (about 10 microns).
