Dynamic Conveyor, Muskegon, Mich., has made several improvements to its DynaCon modular radius-turn conveyors. Redesigned radius modules have exact curvatures of 5° to 180°. Gaps between the joints have been reduced by up to 85%. There’s now also a longer range between connection points, which used to be every 17.5 in. With these improvements, the conveyor reportedly runs extremely smoothly, with no chatter from the belt. Because they run so much smoother, users can reduce costs by using just one drive motor on conveyors with several opposing turns like a snake. Ability to reconfigure conveyors when needs change is another money-saving feature of the modular system.
