Two new long-stroke models of shuttle blow molders have been introduced by Bekum in Germany (U.S. office in Williamston, Mich.). These twin-station machines of the hydraulic Hyblow series were built for a molder of milk bottles in Peru.
The two new models are the Hyblow 407 DL, built in this case for 12-cavity production of 200-ml containers with an 860 mm mold width; and the Hyblow 607 DL for nine-cavity molding of 1 L containers with a 1000 mm mold width. Bekum America builds the standard “D” versions of these machines. The long-stroke “DL” version allows for wider molds and higher cavitation.
