Kautex Maschinenbau of Germany (U.S. office in North Branch, N.J.) has almost completed the range of models in its new KBB series of all-electric shuttle machines. The first model, KBB60D (pictured) with 20-30 metric-ton clamp and 770-mm shuttle stroke was introduced at the K 2013 show in Dusseldorf (see our Feb.’14 report).
It has now been joined by the KBB 40D (15-25 m.t. clamp, 620 mm stroke) and KBB 20D (10-15 m.t., 420 mm). The final model, KBB80D (25-40 m.t., 970 mm), is due to come on the market this year. These machines boast extremely short dry-cycle times and low energy consumption.
