New compact modules containing multiple hot-runner nozzles are available from Hasco America Inc., Fletcher, N.C. These nozzles offer tighter cavity pitches than with conventional nozzles, together with more flexible gating configurations than with standard multi-gate nozzles. The Z 3280 Compact Shot multi-module can incorporate two to six nozzles in lengths of 41 to 158 mm. It offers close cavity

pitches down to 13 mm (naturally balanced). Gates can be regulated individually, and the modular structure makes the economical system easy to maintain. Hasco

also introduced the Z 10440 multinozzle for side gating parts made in manifold tools. The multi-nozzle is offered with two to eight nozzles.
