Automated workcells for in-mold labeling are being offered for the first time by Automated Assemblies Corp., Clinton, Mass. The company says it is the first in North America to offer complete IML workcells for injection molding. Each turnkey system is custom configured but can include a side-entry, top-entry, or six-axis robot, specialized end-of-arm tooling, vacuum lines to hold the labels, and servo-driven label-feed magazines designed for fast changeovers. Electrostatic charging capabilities and vision inspection systems can also be provided.

Automated Assemblies has a new representative for its IML workcells: Integrated Technologies International (ITI) LLC, Kennesaw, Ga., a firm experienced in supplying turnkey IML systems for injection and blow molding.
