Gefran, Winchester, Mass., will introduce its ADV200-LC liquid cooled drives for the plastics machinery industry at NPE2015. Gefran says the ADV200-LC is a drive designed for applications that demand robustness, long-life and reliability, with the liquid-cooled drive design reducing the size of the drive footprint and saving space on installations where liquid cooled systems are already in use.
The design comes with different cooling system options, including water, water/glycol, or oil. Gefran’s reports that its ADV200-LC drives are the only drives in the market with an integrated choke up to 200kW.
Gefran says the ADV200-LC liquid-cooled drives dissipate heat for areas like electrical panels on any electro-mechanical machinery used in plastics. industry saving space and costs. Standard inside cabinet mounting or push-through panel designs offer a variety of installation options so that the heat sink can be mounted externally from the cabinet to meet a variety of installation requirements. The overall footprint design is quite small saving space and installation costs.
