The new BX series of affordable hot-runner nozzles from Mastip Technology Ltd. of New Zealand (U.S. office in Richfield, Wis.) is suited to applications with low to medium cavitation where in-press tip replacement and close cavity spacing are not required. It comes with thermal or valve gates. The BX series for manifold applications uses tips and nuts that are interchangeable with Mastip's MX series for hot-half applications and its single-nozzle SX series. It can be used with Mastip's 13, 16 and 19 series nozzles, which come in lengths from 45 to 175 mm and can be configured in open-nut, bush-nut, or sprue-nut arrangements.
