A new, economical version of the high-performance Allrounder 630 S machine from Arburg Inc., Newington, Conn., is designed for longer product runs with fewer mold changes and for jobs that don’t require high-speed injection and clamp movements. The Allrounder 630 S Eco is a 275-tonner with somewhat reduced drive capacity (40 hp), made possible by reduced machine speeds, which are compatible with long cycles. The unit can be switched to fast injection movements with reduced injection pressure. The Eco model also has manual mold-height adjustment, which is suitable when mold changes are rare or similar mold height is used for different molds.
