Plastics Technology recently visited Taiwan for a preview of new equipment to be introduced at the 12th Taipei International Plastics & Rubber Industry Show (Taipei Plas), March 5-9. Most of the new injection machinery will be presented by Fu Chun Shin (FCS), the largest exporter of injection presses from Taiwan and the 20th largest supplier globally. FCS is developing models of 20, 30 and 100 metric tons to accompany the original 50-tonner in its new HE all-electric line, introduced at the last Taipei Plas show in 2008. FCS also will roll out the AH-SV hybrid series, a lower-cost redesign of its AF series. It uses a servo-driven hydraulic pump. FCS also came out with the AF-SV hybrid series for a new foray into medical applications. FCS also will show the newest version of it’s A-Pack turnkey IML system. Also new from FCS are large hydromechanical, two-platen presses developed together with Italtech of Italy. The LM line (pictured) runs from 1700 to 3700 metric tons. Italtech also helped FCS develop large toggle machines up to 1400 m.t. Email fcs@fcs.com.tw • fcs.com.tw
