The German parent of Kreyenborg Industries, Lawrenceville, Ga., has built a new device to maintain uniform flow to a die or pelletizer during backflushing of a screen changer. The device, which is installed upstream of the screen changer, has a piston that extracts a small amount of melt very slowly into a reservoir. The piston then releases the stored melt as needed back into the melt stream to compensate for lower flow during the backflush cycle. The patent-pending device is available in three sizes for capacities from 100 to 2500 kg/hr. It can be used with any backflush screen changer. (770) 339-4177 • www.kreyenborg.com
