Century Extrusion, Traverse City, Mich. (recently acquired by CPM Holding, Waterloo, Iowa), is introducing a new series of gear boxes with 20% higher torque and 250 bar of operating pressure.

Century Extrusion, Traverse City, Mich. (recently acquired by CPM Holding, Waterloo, Iowa), is introducing a new series of gear boxes with 20% higher torque and 250 bar of operating pressure. The normal operating head pressure for a high-torque box is 75 to 150 bar. The new gear boxes are being built to Century's specifications by E. Eisenbeiss Sohne GmbH in Enns, Austria. The gear boxes will be introduced at NPE 2006 in Chicago in June. They will be available on Century's twin-screw extruders and for retrofits.
