A new line of high-speed Combi machines from Sidel Inc., Norcross, Ga., is said to produce 17 PET bottles/sec or about 61,200/hr. The new Combi systems, which integrate stretch-blowing, filling, and capping, meet growing demand for faster production of smaller single-serve bottles, particularly for water, according to Sidel. The ultra-high-speed Combi 24xs and 34xs models produce single-serve bottles from 0.2L to 0.7L. Combi 26 and 30 models are for production of 0.7L to 2L bottles at 51,000/hr. The new machines have a flexible design that makes changeovers easier. Tel: (678) 221-300023 . www.sidel.com
