Fluid Cleans Hot-Oil Systems 'On The Fly'

The new AC System Cleaner Liquid from Paratherm Corp., West Conshohocken, Pa., is recommended for cleaning large systems using aromatic/synthetic-based heat-transfer fluids. Added to the heat-transfer oil, the cleaner dissolves and suspends sludge that can reduce flow and heat transfer. It operates while the system runs, eliminating downtime for flushing fluids or using chemical cleaning agents. Maximum recommended use temperature for AC Cleaner is 550 F (288 C). In addition, Paratherm recently came out with a higher-temperature heat-transfer fluid for use at up to 650-675 F. With proper maintenance, the fluid should last five to eight years.
