A new hot-runner temperature controller for up to 24 zones uses a special heat-sink device that protects the electronics with “natural air cooling.” This makes the unit much more compact than earlier models. Additional cooling is provided with a fan. Model CGF770 from Yudo Inc., Newbury Park, Calif., has soft-start capability, thermocouple status display, and over-voltage protection. Information is displayed on a handheld pendant.
