A new CNC-controlled hot-stamping machine is designed for convex round, oval, or multi-edged parts.

A new CNC-controlled hot-stamping machine is designed for convex round, oval, or multi-edged parts. The model KCNC-100 from Kurz Transfer Products LP, Charlotte, N.C., uses a flat or radiused die and has a 17-in. monitor. It can decorate parts with up to 90 mm O.D., minimum radius of 3 mm, and maximum length of 100 mm. The controls permit the operator to “teach-in” the shape of the part, which is converted to CNC data. The unit also has electropneumatic foil feed, a transport conveyor that both feeds and unloads parts, and a special handling unit to place the parts on the mandrel.
