An IBC controller for blown film anticipates bubble movement by considering layflat width before the nip, rather than just sensing bubble position at the frost line.

An IBC controller for blown film anticipates bubble movement by considering layflat width before the nip, rather than just sensing bubble position at the frost line. The Advanced Bubble Control from Sysmetric Ltd. in Afula, Israel, controls the exhaust blower and the bubble cage size. It uses eight ultrasonic position sensors—four on opposite sides of the bubble cage near the frost line and on top, plus four on a ring above the bubble cage.
