Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery (U.S. office in Strongsville, Ohio) has continued adding to the larger end of its Systec hydraulic toggle press series. At last fall’s K 2010 show in Germany, the company brought out sizes to 1000 metric tons. Now it has added a 1300-m.t. model and will top off the line at 2000 m.t. this year. The 1300-tonner comes in three versions—Basis, Smart, and Performance—with increasing levels of performance and additional parallel  functions.
