Keba AG of Austria (U.S. office in Troy, Mich.) will bring several new developments in controls to the K show. Its newest KePlast i5000 series press controls are enhanced with an open system for greater flexibility, protection of know-how through integration of separate software libraries or third-party software, and a new and extremely compact hardware platform. Called KeControl C3, the latter allows for customized solutions for demanding applications like hybrid or all-electric machines, multi-component injection, or very large machines.
Also new is the KePlast Machine Sequencer, whose “intuitive” graphical interface allows editing of molding sequences directly at the machine without requiring any specialized programming knowledge. It supports multi-component molding and intricate molds with multiple cores.
Keba is also bringing its new KePlast RetroFit control system for upgrading older machines and its new KeMotion freely programmable
robot controller. Programming modes include “teach-in” and assembling modular, “prefabricated” application modules.
