New Zeotherm 110-70B engineering TPV from Zeon Chemicals L.P., Louisville, Ky., provides heat resistance up to 150 C and noise and vibration dampening for cuffs on automotive air ducts, vibration mounts, fasteners, industrial grips, body and passthrough plugs, and close-out seals. Another benefit is lower cost than other Zeotherm 100-series grades. Zeotherm combines a nylon 6 matrix with a crosslinked polyacrylate (ACM) rubber. It has 74 Shore A hardness and can withstand continuous heat exposure to 140 C and spikes up to 150 C. The material is resistant to automotive oils and greases and can be welded or overmolded onto nylon. Superior heat and oil resistance as well as superior adhesion to nylon is claimed over competitive TPEs. (For property data, visit www.PlaspecGlobal.com.) (502) 775-2078 • www.zeonchemicals.com
