For end users that want to replace PVC, the Sinres 1000 Series reportedly offers mechanical properties comparable to PVC in the 40 to 65 Shore D hardness range, plus superior low-temperature toughness and ESCR. Although the PP formulations cost more per pound than the widely used PVC “workhorse” materials, part of the price difference is offset by the lower density of the PP compounds (0.93 to 1.14 g/cc vs. 1.27-1.40 for PVC) and thus greater volume yield.
