WEB EXCLUSIVE: Two new SEBS product lines have been launched by specialty compounder S&E Specialty Polymers LLC, Lunenburg, Mass., for automotive, wire/cable, battery, and footwear markets. TufPrene 2200 Series and TufPrene 2000 Series are TPE compounds that can be molded or extruded, and they bond naturally to PE, PP, nylon, and ABS. The company is aiming these products at companies seeking a non-PVC alternative.
TuPrene 2200 is a standard filled SEBS that comes in a range of hardnesses from 30 Shore A to 90 Shore A. TufPrene 2000 is the unfilled SEBS version. Both can be color-matched to customer requirements. Applications range from automotive trim and cup holders to knife handles, storage containers, industrial power and hand tools, wire/cable jacketing, and window seals for buildings.
