 WEB EXCLUSIVE: Injection molders can simplify inventories by using a single TPE that is said to adhere to a wide variety of thermoplastics in overmolding. New Elastocon STK40BX is an SEBS-based TPE (40 Shore A) from Elastocon TPE Technologies, Inc., Rochester, Ill., that reportedly bonds to PC, ABS, PC/ABS, acrylic, HIPS, copolyesters, various nylons, and more. It has high flow, a matte surface, and good UV stability; it can be injection and blow molded as well as extruded.
