A new mixing tip suited to both thermoplastics and thermosets, including liquid silicone rubber, was introduced at the IPF show in Japan by the Japanese parent of Fisa Corp., Shelbyville., Tenn. Designed to reduce color blemishes, the new Plagate Mixing Tip (Plam Tip) is said to be easy to assemble and highly durable, even when running glass-filled materials. It does not require high backpressure for mixing, and its streamlined flow path minimizes resin stagnation and burning. The Plam Tip filter stops tramp metal and other contaminants. The tip fits many nozzle styles and needs no special tools for maintenance. (888) 684-3472 • www.fisacorp.com
