WEB EXCLUSIVE The NPE show in Chicago later this month will be the first exhibition of the Inter-Mold hook-and-loop technology from Aplix Inc., Charlotte, N.C., which enables hook fasteners to be formed directly on the surface of injection molded parts. It uses a proprietary tooling insert with no moving parts to mold a wide range of “Velcro-style” hook-and-loop fasteners in any shape and size. The hooks have been molded from PP, PE, PS, ABS, nylon, ABS/nylon, K-Resin (SBS), TPU, and TPO. Aplix says there are more than 50 applications worldwide. (704) 504-6547 * www.aplix.com
