Compressed-air membrane dryers are now available in a multi-hopper bank so that different materials can be dried at different temperatures. This new arrangement from Dri-Air Industries, Inc., East Windsor, Conn., utilizes the company's new CA series dryers, which were introduced at the NPE 2006 show in Chicago. The CAHB (hopper bank) system allows drying multiple materials for fast changeovers with no waiting. Compressed-air dryers with a moisture-removal membrane can achieve -40 F dewpoint and offer the simplicity of a system with no moving parts, no desiccant, and no regeneration. The two- or three-hopper bank allows drying at 70 to 350 F without need for aftercoolers. Installation requires only one power and one air connection. Air fl ow to the hoppers is controlled automatically. Stainless-steel, insulated hoppers have 5- or 15-lb capacity, suitable for small injection machines. Tel: (860) 627-5110 . www.dri-air.com
