The BFC Series of blown-film coolers from Mokon, Buffalo, promises to boost film output, particularly in warmer climates or other regions where ambient air temperature rises during the summer. Displayed at the NPE show in Chicago, the BFC is said to maintain consistent air temperature, pressure, and volume. Available in sizes from 600 to 7500 cfm, the coolers use chilled water to provide a constant air temperature to the process. The air-inlet diffuser ensures that the air stream covers the full face of the cooling coil. The leaving air chamber is insulated to reduce condensation.
