WEB EXCLUSIVE: Ineos Nova, Channahon, Ill., has launched Clearblend, a new family of impact-modified styrene/acrylic copolymers for injection molding. It is designed to offer a cost-effective balance of clarity and toughness. It is said to offer the same advantages of easy processing, low density, and low moisture content as the company’s Zylar impact-modified SMMA copolymer. Like that resin, Clearblend is aimed at housewares, drinkware, toys, industrial housings and covers, and office products. However, Clearblend is a dryblend of SMMA and impact modifier pellets, rather than fully compounded like Zylar, which accounts for Clearblend’s lower cost. (866) 890-6353 • ineos-nova.com
