In the past year, Process Control Corp., Atlanta, came out with several enhancements to its line of blenders and feeders. The most recent addition is a regrind feeder (photo) for use on Guardian gravimetric batch blenders. This auger feeder comes with a range of auger and motor sizes to handle non-free-flowing regrind at any rate required.

There’s also an expanded range of gravimetric powder feeders that can be used on a blender or on a stand-alone basis. The range now extends from 0.2 to 3000 lb/hr. The stainless-steel units have a hollow auger and DC gear motor with encoder for feedback control. The company also introduced a new continuous gravimetric blender for use with the powder feeders.

Process Control also expanded its Guardian batch blender series with a new 2.5-kg model that blends up to six ingredients at up to 750 lb/hr. The single hopper has partitions to separate it into multiple spaces, as well as an integral platform for mounting vacuum loaders.
